Mid June Skeye conducted an aerial inspection of a wind turbine located on the Neeltje Jans peninsula in the South West of the Netherlands. The project was carried out in close cooperation with engineering firm Iv-Infra and in the presence of E-Connection.

The wind turbine, a Vesta V90 3MW has a mast height of 78 meters and blades measuring 45 meters each. The blades, mast and turbine were inspected using a high resolution 24Mp camera mounted on the Falcon-Eye unmanned multi-rotor of Skeye. The Falcon-Eye helicopter is ideally suited for this task since it can stay airborne for up to 40 minutes. The blades as well as the mast were photographed on two sides.
